Edie Tiner, age 87, of Austin, passed away January 24, 2014.
Edie was an active member of the Ben Hur Shrine Travel Club, Provost Guard and L.O.S. She loved to travel and loved working with her flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Tiner, of Austin, TX; daughter, Samantha DeSpain, of Yorktown, VA; grandson, Joesph DeSpain and granddaughter , Amanda DeSpain both of Yorktown, VA; brother, James King and wife Johnnie of Houston, TX; sisters, JoAnne Word of Camden, AR and Sue Chambliss of Bearden, AR; sister-in-law, Merle Sue Forsyth of Abilene, TX; brother-in-law, Lawrence Ray Tiner and wife Yohana of Hobbs, NM; many nieces, nephews, friends and her very special pet Toby.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel, Austin, TX.
The family would like to thank Austin Hospice for their help and services provided to Edie during her time of need.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ben Hur Shrine Transportation Fund or Shrine Children's Hospital, Shrine Children's Burn Center or a charity of your choice.
