Alfred Lee Montgomery, 68, of Crossett died Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Born on October 30, 1939, in Crossett to the late Virgil Samuel and Lois Chapman Montgomery, he was a machinist for 38 years at Georgia Pacific and a member of Grace Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include: his wife, Charlotte Everitt Montgomery of Crossett; one son, Terry Lee Montgomery and wife Cheryl of Crossett; one daughter, Lisa Montgomery Felchle and husband Stephen of Brookhaven, MS; three grandchildren, Josh Parrott, Julianna and Megan Felchle; one great-grandchild, Bodie Parrott; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, February 22, in the Grace Christian Fellowship with Bros. Kirk Hall and Jimmie Lewis officiating. Pallbearers were Buck Fryar, Thomas Glen Childers, Royce Oden, Damon Dean, Leonard Biggs, and Frank Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Dean and John Pennington. Burial followed at the Causey Cemetery near Beekman, LA, under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. www.jonesservice.com.
