Marsha (Skees) Corcoran was born May 8, 1951 in Midland, Texas, the daughter of the late William Alton Skees and the late Wanda (Stell) Skees. She entered into rest on March 18, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She was raised in Midland, Texas, Corpus Christi, Texas and Jackson, Mississippi. She graduated from Midland High School, class of 1969. She matriculated from Texas Woman's University in 1974 with a B.S. in Nursing and earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Dallas in 1986. Marsha began her nursing career in Dallas, Texas at Parkland Hospital working in Adult Trauma and Intensive Care. Utilizing her MBA she then spent time at Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Parkland Hospital, and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She then resumed her clinical nursing career at Baylor Hospital Transplant Unit. Marsha was a devout practicing Catholic and cherished her large extended family. Her home was always open and welcoming to family and friends. She was sometimes a practical jokester and was known and loved for her humor and drama. Marsha also had open arms for pets in distress. She rescued numerous dogs of dubious breeding and loved them each unconditionally. She is survived by her husband, Frank John Corcoran of Dallas, Texas and her siblings, Andrea Guerrette (husband Galen) of Flagstaff, Arizona, Cecilia Sears (husband James) of Kingsville, Texas, John Skees (wife Holly) of Midland, Texas, William Skees (wife Mary Ann) of Glen Rock, New Jersey, Kevin Skees (wife Elizabeth) of Plano, Texas, James Skees (wife Megan) of St. Mary's, Kansas and too many to count nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Join the Corcoran family in remembering and celebrating the life of Marsha. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 6 p.m. at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., March 26, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Drive Dallas, Texas 75248. Committal will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas.
