EMORY, Barbara G. Mrs. Age 75, of Jackson, Mississippi departed this life on September 6, 2007. Native of Franklin, Ohio, graduate of Franklin High School, she married John Emory on December 6, 1952 in First Baptist of Franklin, a marriage of more than 54 years. Barbara is retired from Hallmark Cards. She is last active charter member of Meadow Rose Garden Club, Woodland Hills Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School for 40 years, and tolerated her husband's love for antique autos. Loving to travel she has been in all 50 States and crossed the Atlantic. She is survived by her husband, John W. Emory, Jr.; sons John III (Beth) and Tommy (Brenda); daughters Paula E. Pafford and Audrey Emory. Eight adult grandchildren, Tom (Katy), Brian (Heather), Brad (Anna), and Bethany Emory, John L. (Katie), Jeremy (Tara) Emory, Adrienne (Brandon E. Deck) and Christal Pafford; and seven great grandchildren; sisters Betty Dalton of Franklin and Diane Delaney of Berea, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret Parlett Young, her brother Robert (Butch) Young and sister, Sandra Payne. Services will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist, 3327 Old Canton Road with the visitation beginning at 9:30 and service at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 with interment at Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland. In lieu of flowers we ask for memorials to Woodland Hills Baptist church, P.O. box 4227, Jackson, MS 39296. We express our appreciation for the loving care received from the Physicians and Staff at River Oaks Hospital, particularly the 3North and ICU areas. Services conducted by Culpepper Funeral Home, Canton, Mississippi.
