BONNIE JEAN MORROW SORSBY, age 79, born in Haynesville, LA on January 14, 1924, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Morrow, died January 1, 2004. Mrs. Sorsby attended the Haynesville schools, Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA and Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX where she majored in Home Economics and Child Development. Mrs. Sorsby was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Houston, and member of the Adelphi Sunday School class. She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority Alumnae, Texas Woman's University Alumnae, and the Chi Omega Mother's Club. She also attended the Tenneco Retirees meetings and the "Austin's Old Three Hundred" meetings. Mr. and Mrs. Sorsby also enjoyed extensive travel. Mrs. Sorsby is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Frederick Sorsby, Sr. She is survived by her daughters Gwen Koch and husband Joe of Houston, Gale Green and husband Harold of Dallas, sons W.F. (Dub) Sorsby, Jr. and wife Elaine of Houston, and Kirk Sorsby of Tomball, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and also nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited for visitation with the family on Saturday, January 3 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Services will be held in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Forest Park Westheimer at 12800 Westheimer with Rev. David Snowden officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Field Store Cemetery in north Waller County. Pallbearers will be, grandsons, Joseph Steves Koch Jr., Michael Bentley Green, Stephen Frederick Koch, Robert Frederick Green, John William Sorsby and grandson-in-law Brian David Young.
