Mildred Aileen Herring

Oklahoma City resident, Mildred Aileen Hermann, 92, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Mildred was born November 26, 1925 in Roswell, New Mexico to Ralph H. and Mary Virginia (Hill) Herring. She graduated from Roswell High School and then moved to Texas where she attended Texas Tech. She married the love of her life, Richard Hermann, in August of 1946 and they made their home in Oklahoma City where they raised their daughter, Judy. Mildred was very involved in her life. She was a Girl Scout leader for 11 years, enjoying the time spent with Judy and her friends. Mildred was a member of Metro Church for over 20 years and loved singing in the choir. She also loved to travel with Richard and they would paint landscapes of the various places they visited. She enjoyed sewing and making her famous cream tacos. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Virginia Louise; great-great grandson, Richard Eugene Hackney; and sister-in-law, Bette Herring.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Sneed; granddaughters, Rebekah Dione Yanak, Rachel Diane Johnson, and Ruth Deann Hackney; 10 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ralph H. Herring, Jr.; as well as a host of other family members. Visitation will be 11am-5pm Monday, April 2, 2018 at Guardian West Funeral Home. Services will be 2pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Guardian West Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mildred passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Visitation 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday at Guardian West Funeral Home. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, also at Guardian West with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
