The documents in the marriage folder of Georgios Laliotis and Georgitsa Mouchteros, daughter of Nikolaos Mouchteros of Gounari, which included a lawsuit filed by Georgitsa’s former husband Theofilos Gerontakos.
In 1912, Theofilos Gerontakos filed a lawsuit against his wife, Georgitsa Mouchteros. They had married in 1899 and they had a child together who died. Before the child’s death, Theofilos went to the United States where he stayed for five years. Georgitsa remained in Tseramio.
In 1910 Theofilos learned that his wife had an affair with an unknown man and that she had a child with her lover. The child was born in July 1911. Theofilos filed for divorce against Georgitsa, stating they cannot live together and that she had to leave. There was a trial, but she did not show up, claiming there were no reliable witnesses. The divorce was granted on January 14, 1912.
Georgitsa married Georgios Konstantinos Laliotis in 1914.
