Death

Notice received from Georgios Kostakos, email to Carol Petranek, June 14, 2015:
The bad news at the family level comes from across the street, from the Papagiannakos side. In case you have not already heard about it, Tasos (Kyriakoulias), Evgenia's husband, passed away a couple of weeks ago. He lost the fight with cancer after several years of ups-and-downs.
 
I saw Evgenia and she is coping reasonably well. She has her sisters, Potoula and Koula supporting her, and her son, Manolis, of course. My mother often goes to see her and I had a chance to talk to her too during my brief stay at Agios Ioannis. Tasos is being missed not only by his family but by the entire neighbourhood, our village and beyond as he was a very decent and well-liked person.
