Individual Details
Efstathios Iliopoulos
(Bef 1808 - )
Named as father of Athanasia in her marriage record to Spyridon Kolokotas and Aikaterini in her marriage record to Panagiotis Papagiannakos.
Records show that there are two men named Efstathios Iliopoulos: one living in the village of Sikaraki, and one living in the village of Agios Ioannis. These villages are adjacent to each other, and it is possible that these two men are the same person. However, records do give two different villages. If Election Registers and Male Registers from Sikaraki are included in Agios Ioannis records -- and Sikaraki is not specifically mentioned in the Agios Ioannis records -- then it will be confusing to know which records belong to which family. The Municipal Registers (Dimotologion or Town Registers) for Sikaraki are in books for Sparta, not Agios Ioannis, so we can be assured that the information in the municipal registers are correct.
