Individual Details
Panagiotis Vasileios Gavakos
(1871 - 16 Apr 1938)
Email, Joanna Lynard Burstein to Carol Petranek, Oct. 14 2015
Hi Carol,
I was told by my mother's cousin Kiki (Vasiliki Georgiou) Applebaum (born 13 March 1925) that when I searched for the Kavakos's coming to the US that the spelling may be Gavakos. Sure enough when my grandmother & her family came that was the spelling. She did not give any details other than that. It was spelt Kavakos afterward.
You will love this -as I am looking at my tree. Kiki's parents are John Papageorgiou from Patras (born 20 July 1895 died 25 March 1968) & Christina Gavakos from Ayios Ioannis
(born 28 May 1900 died 27 December 1966).
Christina's father is Panagioti Gavakos.
Kiki gave me a lot of the Gavakos / Kavakos info. She is a character. I think she is still alive @ 90 years old ! I didn't find a death notice.
