"Uncle Levi Smith, the deaf husband of Aunt Fanny at Granby was killed in February by a falling tree. His son and a hired man were chopping it down. He took a position where he was thought to be safe. A gust of wind blew it in a direction opposite to the one intended. His head was crushed & he died instantly. He was about 79 years old---"
