Walter Justin Sherman
(16 Oct 1854 - 7 Apr 1937)
Walter Sherman moved to Toledo. He was a graduate of Cornell in 1877 and C.E. in 1890. He was an eminent railroad and municipal civil engineer. He also wrote considerably and was an incorporator, president and editor of the Historical Society of Northwestern Ohio from 1929 until his death.
He was a member of the Toledo Commerce Club, Am. Soc. of Civil Engineers, Ohio Soc. Engineers, Michigan Engineer Soc., Toledo Soc. of Engineers, American Public Health Assn.American Water Works Assn.., British Assn. Sewage Managers; Ohio State Archaeological Soc., Sons of American Rev.;
