After marriage, Christopher and Rebecca moved to Fairfield Co., Iowa, then to Marion Co., Oregon, arriving there on 26 Aug 1853. They made the trip by covered wagon. They remained in Marion County until her death. It is said that there was only one child, and some grandchildren, but they all died without issue and Rebecca's line is now extinct. Christopher applied for Donation Lands in Oregon Territory and settled the claim 1 Oct 1853.
