Remembering James Rigg February 17, 1989 - October 11, 2011 James Rigg of Niwot, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the age of 22. He was born to John and Laura Rigg in San Diego, California on February 17, 1989 and was the first of three children. James attended Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado and then the University of Wyoming where he was a member of the swim team. He later transferred to Arizona State University where he majored in Electrical Engineering. He continued his swimming career as a member of the ASU Sun Devils and swam sprint butterfly and backstroke. He was recognized by the ASU coaches and his teammates as a phenomenal underwater athlete. James interned with First RF this past summer and was expected to graduate from ASU in December. He was sought after by numerous engineering firms for post-graduation employment and had a very bright future! James lived life fully! He loved to run, bike, hike, swim and travel. He was also a talented musician. Most of all, James loved spending time with his family and his many, many friends. He is survived by his parents, John and Laura, his brother Scott and sister Lauren of Niwot, CO; his grandmother Evelyn Harding of Arvada, CO, grandmother Barbara (Don) Johnson of Peoria, AZ and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. James is the grandson of James P. Rigg, Jr., and the great grandson of Ruth Hargleroad Rigg and James P. Rigg, Sr. In remembrance, the family requests that donations be made to the Daniel J. Lunger Memorial Fund, 711 Carr Street, Lakewood, CO 80214. This fund supports the AED Project, Heart Smart and the "Kick Start My Heart" Foundation.
