Richard QUIGGLE
(1829 - 21 December 1895)
1850 census with widowed mother, age 21. Working on the RR, he was mugged and left lying on the tracks. A passing train cut off one of his legs. After paying all the medical bills, the RR laid him off as being incapacitated for manual labor. Richard then went to managing the family farm and operated the 'Quiggle Ferry'.
