Wedding announcement in Toronto Daily Star, July 5, 1938. Thomas Hance Eccles was the eldest son of Thomas R. Eccles of Southamton, Eng. Helen's great great grandfather Sills was a United Empire Loyalist. Her great grand father Butler was a pioneer Baptist knapsack minister who settled in York county, coming from England. This last statement refers to John Butler, who moved to Colbourne, and then Rawdon, Hastings. No other mention of Butler's in York from any other source.
