MILITARY SERVICE: Was a minuteman in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts at the battle at North Bridge on 19 April 1775. He was a private in Capt. Charles Miles' Concord minute men company. He also served at Ticonderoga in 1776 as a private in Captain Charles Miles' company, Col. Jonathan Reed's regiment.
