Fernandina Beach, Fla. - John Milton Yount, 87, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 at Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Furr Yount; daughter, Patricia Yount Kenner (Richard) both of Fernandina Beach, Fla; two sons, John McCorkle Yount (Jennifer) of Eden, N.C. and Joseph Squires Yount (Nina) of Greensboro, N.C.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Eastview Cemetery in Newton, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 9 N. 6th St., Fernandina Beach, Fla. 32034. Please share his life story at www.oxleyheard.com.
