Death

Henry Howell Jordan, departed this life Saturday, January 14, at the home of his son, Lewis Jordan, two miles south of Hartshorne, in his 68th year. The deceased was a native of Mississippi, and had been a resident of this section for the past 22 years. His wife preceded him about 22 years ago. He is survived by two children, a daughter, Mrs. Mary M. O'Cullar and a son Lewis Jordan, and a step-son, Miles Coussens. The deceased was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, of which he was a life long member. Those who knew him best are unstinted in their praise of the sterling character of this good man, and deeply sympathize with the bereaved in their loss. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W.F. Warren, pastor of the Baptist Church of Hartshorne, interment being held at Sulphur Cemetery. The song service was conducted by Bob Morris of Hartshorne.
