D. M. FURR WAS NOT KILLED IN ACCIDENT Death of Dog Called "Judge” Led to Rumors That Former Recorder Had Been Killed. There was nothing to rumors current here Friday morning to the effect that D. M. Furr, former recorder in Concord, had been killed in an automobile accident. The reports were heard only in the day and by, noon had spread to all sections of the city. Moses Furr, brother of the former, recorder, says the death of his dog, "Judge”, probably accounted for the rumors. The dog was killed on the Kannapolis road Friday morning and when someone heard something about "Judge” Furr being killed it was presumed the former recorder was being referred to, many persons calling him "Judge Furr.” One report in circulation here said Mr. Furr had beep killed between Concord and Kannapolis and another said he laid been killed between Bolton and Concord. Mr. Furr Ieft Concord last week for Bolton, planning to make his home there in the future. His brother, Aaron Furr, has been living there for a number of years. Mr. Furr plans to engage in farming at his new home.
