Death

Hazel M. ‘Furr’ Mullinax Evans, 86, of Farmington died October 21 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. She was born December 16, 1908 in Mena, Ark. to the late A.W. and Martha Ann ‘Willis' Furr. She was preceded in death by first husband, Bob Mullinax; second husband, Walter J. ‘Limpy" Evans; three sisters; two brothers; one great-grandchild. Mrs. Evans was retired from Farmington State Hospital #4. She is survived by four daughters: Virginia ‘Mrs. Tommy’ Wade of Farmington, Joyce ‘Mr. Milburn’ Cunningham ‘of Farmington, Mary Viola ‘Mrs. Lee’ Faulkner of Farmington, Mrs. Bobbie Smith of Farmington; one son, Bill (& Elsie) Mullinax of Farmington; three sisters-in-law: Irma ‘Mrs. Dave’ Mullinax of Doe Run; Minnie ‘Mrs. Clifford’ Marler of Desloge, Mrs. Clara Croney of New Madrid; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; very dear friend, Essie Parrott of Doe Run. Visitation will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Service in Farmington. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Doc Run Memorial Cemetery in Doc Run. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Ozarks.
