Death

She was a daughter of the late Pinkney Thomas Mitchell and Beulah Phillips Mitchell. She worked for Broyhill Manufacturing for many years and was Baptist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Conner and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, J.B. Conner; three sons, Andy Conner and wife, Ann of Lake Lure, Todd Conner of Marion, NC, Eric Conner of Kodak, TN; three daughters, Bonnie Smith and husband, Darrell of Marion; Susie Crotts of Union Mills, Melissa Broadway and husband, Rick also of Marion; one brother, Leroy Mitchell of Marion; two sisters, Helen Camp of Gastonia and Kathy Ziros and husband, Jim of Lincolnton. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
