Death

Clyde Nevin Overcash Sr., 85, of Badin, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC. He was born November 13, 1939 in Rowan County to the late Fred and Ollie Mullis Overcash. Clyde graduated from Mooresville High School and worked at Gentry Mills in Wadesboro. He was a past member of Mt. Mitchell Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Lefler Overcash; son, Ronnie Overcash; and sister, Margaret Ann Josey. Clyde is survived by his sons, Clyde Overcash, Jr. and wife Barbara and Timothy Overcash; two half-brothers, Billy Overcash of Kannapolis, NC, Carl Overcash of Concord, NC; grandchildren, April (Zachary) McFayden, Matthew Overcash, Mark Overcash, Jessica (Ray) Sparks, TJ Overcash and girlfriend, Sara Armstrong, Kati (Brandon) Young, Summer Overcash, Crystal Overcash and boyfriend Dillon David, and Riley Butler; great-grandchildren, Vlad Coppock, Nadia Orr, Jacob Keel, Trace Keel, Lyndsey Keel, Aiden Overcash, Austin Overcash, Jonathan Sparks, Cheyenne Sparks, Jasper Davis, Aralyn Overcash, and Elizabeth Overcash; and great-great-grandchildren, Esme Orr and Baby Coppock, who will be joining the family soon. The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC, with Pastor Jared Graham, officiating. Burial will take place in the Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
