Death

Edgar Lester Navey, Jr., age 67 of Mint Hill, N.C. went home to be with his Lord on May 22, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar L. Navey Sr. and Virginia R. Navey and sister Martha Navey. He was employed for 35 years by Carolina Tractor & Equipment, as Service Manager of LiftOne. He was an active member of Image Church in Matthews, N.C. His life was a reflection and example of Christ and his wisdom was tempered by the Holy Spirit. Lester is survived by his loving wife Peggy of 45 years and two sons Edgar L. Navey III. and wife Peggy of Charlotte, N.C. and Ryan B. Navey of Midland, N.C. as well as his brother Thomas D. Navey and wife Marcella of Olive Branch, MS. and their two sons Tommy Navey and wife Tracy of Morganton, N.C. and Eric Stewart of Morganton, N.C.. A service to celebrate his life and Homegoing, will be held at Image Church, 4017 Weddington Rd., Matthews, N.C. 28104 on May 26. Family visitation is from 11:00 followed by service at 12:00. Memorials can be made in his memory to Image Church.
