Death

Mrs. Martha Dean Honeycutt Mullis, "Maw Maw Mutt", 88, of Mint Hill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2012. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012 at McEwen – Mint Hill Chapel. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Mint Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Lee Proctor and Reverend Mark Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Mrs. Mullis was born May 4, 1923 in Stanly County, NC, daughter of the late Charles Honeycutt and Lena Gaddy Honeycutt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, H.M. Penny" Mullis; son, Donald Mullis; and grandsons, Brian and Bobby Furr and Charlie Mullis, Jr. Survivors include her children, H.M. Mullis, Jr., Ronald Mullis, Billy Mullis, Charles Mullis, Tommy Mullis and his wife, Kathy, Portia Watson and her husband, Robert, Irene Furr and her husband, Larry, and Shirley Kiser and her husband, Billy; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren.
