COLLINS — Services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Olive for Dr. Samuel W. Harbour, 77, of Mt. Olive, who died Monday at Covington County Hospital. The Rev. Foy Killingsworth was to officiate. Interment was to be in Old Columbia City Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Johns Funeral Home was to be in charge of arrangements. A retired dentist, Dr. Harbour was a member of St. Albins Masonic Lodge No. 60, the Marion Chapter No. 94 of OES and the Grand Chapter of Mississippi No. 123 of Royal Arch Masons of Columbia. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ina Lou Phelps Harbour of Mt. Olive; two daughters, Mrs. May Ann Furr and Mrs. Sammy Gene McCraw, both of Harvey, La.; one son, Harold C. Harbour of New Orleans; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Harrison of Fairfield, Ala.Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, April 29, 1975

Dr. Samuel Watterson Harbour, 77, of Mt. Olive retired on Dec. 23, 1974, after serving 50 years in Mississippi in the practice of dental surgery. He was born in Kemper County on March 8, 1898, moving later to Union in Neshoba County. He is the son of the late Johnny B. Harbour and Laura D. Clark of Neshoba and Kemper Counties. He has made his home in Mt. Olive for the past 22 years. He attended college in Meridian and received his diploma from Atlanta Southern Dental College in Atlanta on May 28, 1924. He was granted a license to practice dentistry in Georgia on May 30, 1924, and in Mississippi on June 19, 1924. In his fifty years of service as a dentist in Mississippi, Dr. Harbour lived and worked in Union, Houston, Wiggins, and Columbia before coming to Mt. Olive. He is married to the former Mrs. Lou Malone of Corinth and is the father of three children, Harold G. Harbour, Mrs. Mary Ann Furr, and Mrs. Sammie Jean McRaw, all of New Orleans, and five grandchildren. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Olive and the Mississippi Dental Association and has held offices in the Masonic Lodge and the order of the Eastern Star. He was honored by the Mississippi Dental Association in 1966 for 42 years of dental practice in Mississippi and was presented a bronze plaque with his name and words of a appreciation engraved on it. Since his retirement last December Dr. Harbour has been undergoing treatment in a New Orleans Hospital.The Magee Courier, Magee, Mississippi, March 13, 1975
