Death
GILBERT (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Emfinger, 85, of Gilbert, were at 2:30 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church here with the Rev. Shelton Sharbono officiating. Burial was in Oakley Cemetery near Gilbert under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Emfinger died Monday afternoon in King's Nursing Home in Winnsboro after a long illness. Survivors include her husband, Allen E. Emfinger, Gilbert; a son, Marcus Emfinger, Winnsboro; five daughters, Miss Liza Emfinger, Gilbert, Mrs. Mattie Bell Robinson, Bloomington, Calif., Mrs. Otis Furr, Wisner, Mrs. Lucy Newman, Ferriday and Mrs. Virgie Mae Chapman, Winnsboro; a sister, Mrs. Leoma Sullivan, Tylertown, Miss.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Herbert Furr, Wayne Furr, Thomas Flowers Jr., Charles Chapman, Marlon Newman, Gene Emfinger and Donnie Emfinger.Published in The Monroe News-Star (LA), Tuesday, January 17, 1967
