Death

Norman "Pat" Patton of Troy passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 in Temple at the age of 81. Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Pipe Creek Cemetery near Bandera, Texas under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Cole Funeral Home. Mr. Patton was born March 22, 1925 in Ban Rob, Texas, the son of the late Floyd and Myrtle (Hand) Patton where he attended school. Much of his life was spent in the construction business as a roofer. In 1990, he retired after thirty years in the roofing business. In 1999, he moved to Troy from Lake Hills, Texas and was a member of the Sons of Herman. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Josephine Teresa (McLeod) Patton and a daughter, Patricia Ann Furr. Survivors include one son, John Earl Renshaw of LaVernia, Texas; two daughters, Esther Jo Kramer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Iona Maedgen of Troy; one brother, Floyd Patton of Hondo, Texas; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and his sweetheart, June Hogan.
