Elsie Lovette Garrett Mrs. Garrett, 83, of Charlotte, NC, died February 13, 2006 at Hospice of Union County, Monroe, NC. She was born on August 21, 1922 in Erwin, NC, a daughter of the late William and Betty Mae Lovette. She was a 1944 graduate of Pittman School of Nursing, and went on to serve proudly as a Red Cross Nurse. Elsie was a Registered Nurse, retiring from Presbyterian Hospital after 50 years of dedicated service in the nursing profession. She is survived by her son, C.E. 'Chip' Garrett and wife Cathy, and their son Sean of Snellville, GA, and daughter Celia Furr and husband Michael of Indian Trail, NC. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 17, 2006 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5400 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, with the Reverend Dr. Carl Dumford officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 Thursday evening at the Pineville Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte.
