Death

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen's Wesleyan Church, Concord, with the Rev. Ronald K. Lee and the Rev. Tim Clark officiating. Burial will be take place at St. Stephen's Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Concord. Ms. Barbee was born June 22, 1919, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Vaughn Cicero Barbee and the late Margaret Harvell Barbee. She was retired from Cannon Mills as a cloth inspector and was a member of St. Stephen's Wesleyan Church. The family will meet at the home, 7055 Barrier Georgeville Road, Concord. Ms. Barbee is survived by son Worth Barbee of Marshville; daughter Peggy Furr of Tiptonville, Tenn.; brothers, Ed Barbee of Concord and Junior Barbee of Oakboro; sister, Dena Hartsell of Concord; grandsons, Tony Honeycutt, Ronnie Honeycutt, Scott Barbee and Danny Barbee; and great-grandchildren Casey Honeycutt, Jennifer Honeycutt, Landon Barbee, Lance Barbee, Brittany Barnhardt and Kayla Barnhardt. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the family of Ms. Barbee.
