Death

Mary Elizabeth Lorbacher CONCORD -- Mrs. Lorbacher, 78, of 161 Stonewall Circle SW, died Saturday, June 26, 2004 at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Charles Guy and Rev. Bill Sartin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home and will be at the home the remaining time. She was retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery. At her church she was a Sunday School teacher, and received her Lifetime Membership Pin from the United Methodist Women, and in her early years she was active in the church UMYF. She was born November 24, 1925 in Cabarrus Co. to the late J. Will and Annie Hudson Barbee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert Lorbacher who died in 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Calloway of Hendersonville, NC, Jane McGee of Concord and Jean Furr of Harrisburg; brothers, Clarence Barbee and Murlin Barbee both of Concord; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund at Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church, 1428 Old Charlotte Rd., Concord, NC 28027. Wilkinson Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements for the Lorbacher family.
