Death
MOORESVILLE -- Mrs. Cruse, 79, of Mooresville died Sunday, August 17, 2003 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born February 6, 1924 in Mooresville and was the daughter of the late Lattie M. and Edith Mullenax Rogers. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was a 1942 graduate of Mooresville High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tate L. Cruse in 1997; son, Tony Cruse; and brothers, Fred, John, James and Monroe Rogers. She is survived by her children, David L. Cruse of Charlotte, Jenny Furr and husband, Randy of Concord, Mary Thompson and husband, Dwayne and John M. Cruse and wife, Cindy both of Mooresville. She is also survived by her brothers, Joe Rogers of Mooresville and Paul Rogers of Fayetteville; sister, Mary Brawley of Mooresville; and grandchildren, Rachel and Olivia Thompson, Rebekah and Jenna Cruse, Jonathan, Cortney and Joshua Furr. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. D. Steven Gouge, Rev. Hal D. Greene and Rev. Jonathan R. DeBell officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 525 S.
