Death
CONCORD -- Gladys Goodman Mauldin, 90, of 4750 Turnridge Ct., Concord went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2002. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 12, at First Foursquare Church of Concord. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Alice Cauble and the Reverend Jeff Burris. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday evening at Wilkinson's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Letha Mauldin, 4750 Turnridge Ct. Born on November 4, 1911, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Mauldin was the daughter of the late Charlie J. and Maggie Furr Goodman. She was a member of First Foursquare Church, a participant at Coltrane L.I.F.E. Center, and was formerly employed with Locke Mill and Cannon Mills. Mrs. Maulding was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Rance Mauldin, and infant twins, Robert and Roberta. Survivors include 5 children, Bobby M. Mauldin and wife, Donna, of Kannapolis; Billy E. Mauldin and wife, Beverly, of Charlotte; Gail M. Rushing and husband, Harold, of Concord; Letha G. Mauldin of Concord; and Doris M. Nunn of Fort Mill, SC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Billy E. Mauldin, Jr. and wife, Julie; Jill M. Underwood and husband, Bob; Alex Mauldin; Mira Eury; Allyson Davis and husband, Robby; Rebecca Eury; and Matthew Nunn. Great-grandchildren are Mary Katherine and Brianne Underwood; Dylan and Aydin Davis; and Thor Mauldin. She is survived by one sister, Peggy Goodman Bullaboy and husband, Junior. Memorials may be made to Coltrane L.I.F.E.
