CARL T. FREEMAN Sr., 67, of Laura Street, owner-operator of the former Freeman Rubbish Removal Co. of Warwick for 23 years before retiring in 1983, died Tuesday at the V.A. Hospital in Denver, Colo. He was the husband of the late Anna Marie (Lazzareschi) Freeman. Born in Alcolu, Clarendon County, S.C., a son of the late Tommie Franklin and Nancy Ellen (Dyson) Freeman, he moved to Warwick 34 years ago. Mr. Freeman was a Navy veteran of World War II, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He leaves five daughters, Maryann Powers and Nancy Freeman, both of Castle Rock, Colo., Dorothy Hayes of West Greenwich, Beverly Crum of Foster, and Carleen Freeman of Riverside; a son, Carl. T. Freeman Jr. of Manchester, Ohio; two stepchildren, Eddie and Crystal Varen, both of Riverside; three sisters, Ruth Hazel Turner of Manning, S.C., Violet Lois Sauls of Sanford, N.C., and Mary Frances Fallis of Orlando, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.Endnotes
