Notes
Death
Dona Williams Furr went to be with her Lord on November 3, 2024, after battling breast cancer and the difficulties of other health issues for years. She is now pain free and disease free with her new body in heaven. Dona was married to the love of her life, Jimmy Furr, for 64 years. Their marriage withstood the test of owning and operating Ark-La-Feed where they worked side by side for over 25 years. They taught high school seniors together for many years at First Baptist Church. They enjoyed traveling together, especially when it meant they were going to see their grandchildren. Dona had a big love for flowers, birds and just enjoying the simple things of life. She was a very gifted artist. She was commissioned to draw and paint churches, barns, family homes and buildings for many people. Many of her paintings hang in local businesses and her design is the background on the Columbia County marriage licenses. Dona had a big heart. When her illness took away her ability to draw and paint, she would still make phone calls and send cards to encourage others. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved playing cards with her bridge group for many years. She had many titles, but Memaw was her favorite for four grand and six great grandchildren. She would always tell each of them how much she loved them and how special they were. She made each one feel like they were her favorite. Dona was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Furr, her parents J.N., Jr. and Lena Kate Williams, her sister Lena Rucknagle, and her brother Charles Williams. She is survived by her brother J.N. Williams, III and wife Gail of Fairview, TX, son Wayne Furr and wife Stacy of Jacksonville, AR, daughter Vicki Callaway and husband Kyle of Magnolia, granddaughter Morgan Coulter and husband Caleb (great grands Emma, Harper, and Kimber) of Lockesburg, AR, grandson Jordan Furr of Jacksonville, AR, grandson Kaleb Callaway and wife Melissa (great grands Kami and Kora) of Forney, TX, grandson Kory Callaway and wife Alyssa (great grand Kohen) of Benton, AR, sister-in-law Kay Waller of Magnolia, and many nephews and nieces. Dona's family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice and her caregivers, Chylene Mayberry, Jackie Monk, and Mashon Scott who have all grown to be like family. There will be a visitation at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc in Magnolia on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Roger Dunlap officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Furr, Kyle Callaway, Jamie Waller, Caleb Coulter, Jordan Furr, Kaleb Callaway, and Kory Callaway. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 456, Magnolia, AR 71754 or Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 929, Magnolia, AR 71754.Endnotes
