Death

Karen Lillie Dukes Furr, age 65, of North Charleston, South Carolina passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. Karen was born November 29, 1956 in Charleston, SC. Karen is now singing in the highest choir. She touched the lives of all of those around her in the church and through her teaching. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Harmon Dukes Jr. and Lillie Davie Dukes. Karen is survived by her husband, Jack Arnold Furr Jr., her children, Deaven Lillie Furr, Charlotte Edna Furr, Jack Arnold Furr III, her daughter-in-law, Belinda Russ, and a grandchild, Lindsey Elaine Furr. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Harmon Dukes III, and his wife, Brenda Smoaks Dukes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11 am at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a Chapel service at Carolina Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at 12 noon at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family has requested that instead of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Karen's honor.
