Death

Lucille Gray Furr, 74, of Stanfield, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. Lucille was born July 21, 1947 in North Carolina to the late Hubert Gray and the late Ruby Gardner Gray. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Philadelphia Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 2:00 pm officiated by Rev. Dr. Carey Snellings and Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will follow at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery at 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield. Survivors include husband, James "Jim" H. Furr of the home; stepson, James Michael Furr of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren, Heather Furr and Haylee Furr; and sisters, Ella Mae Brooks (Leonard) and Shirley Hart (Dexter). Lucille loved to travel with Jim. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, feeding her hummingbirds, and spending time with her dog, Katie. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Furr family.
