Burial

Maurice was born in the Shearer community of Young County, Texas to Lewis and Ruth (Courtney) Terry. He graduated from Olney High School in 1942. He married Kaye Mitchell on February 24, 1995 in Dallas, Texas. At time of death, he was residing in Lakeside City, Texas. Maurice was a building contrator, worked many years in the oilfield, and later farmed and ranched. He was an Army veteran, and a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Olney, Texas. He was preceded in death by one brother Lewis Donald Terry, and one sister Fern Creech. Survivors at time of death included his wife, Kaye Mitchell of Lakeside City, Texas; two daughters, Carol Gray and her husband Dave of Burkburnett, Texas, and Doris Lynn Byrd of Tennessee; one sister Maxine Walsh of Archer City, Texas.
