Joel Harvey FURR

Was named for a minister at the Little Bahalia Baptist Church. Private, Company K, 3rd Mississippi Infantry. According to his daughter (Sarah C.) during the Civil War, he laid down on the ground after he was shot in the leg or knee. He stuck the other leg in the air and it was shot too. She said he was the funniest old man and kept them in stitches.
