Death

Marshall Vestal was born on June 14, 1933 in Leakesville, NC to the late Neaurs M. Vestal and Maggie P. Bennett Vestal. He began working at a young age at the Orange Crush Bottling Company. He later moved to Washington, D.C. working as a foreman for storage companies, until retiring from Security Storage. In 1963, he married Gloria Brown and resided in Landover, MD. They later moved to Kenmore and in 1972 to Annapolis. In 2011 he moved to Mardela Springs, MD. Mr. Vestal was a member of the Bay Country Moose Lodge and Odd Fellows. He enjoys hunting, dancing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by two daughters, Donna J. Vestal and Gloria M. Furr; five step children, Cecil R. Yancey, Linda L. Croushorn, Joan M. Arnold, John M. Yancey, and Cecilia A. Miller; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Gloria, two step sons Richard J. Yancey and Jimmy E. Yancey, three brothers, David Vestal, Haywood Vestal, and Fred Vestal; and three sisters, Clara Farmer, Gardine Vestal and Kathleen Vestal, predeceased him. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 14th at 11 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Centreville, MD, with a visitation from 9:45am -10:45am at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Centreville, MD. Burial will follow in Chesterfield Cemetery.
