Death
William Arthur Greene, 54, of Selma, died Sunday in a Selma hospital after a sudden illness. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Joy Baptist Temple, with the Rev. Ken Scott officiating. Burial will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Furr Greene of Selma; two daughters, Susan Belinda Caffey of Selma and Cynthia Kay Hartzog of Talledega; his mother, Leona Pratt Greene of Greenfield, Mass.; two sisters, Regina Greene and Irene Duvae, both of Greenfield, Mass.; a brother, John Greene of Greenfield, Mass.; three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ray Schiffer, Don Meeks, William Ledbetter, Jasper Pugh, Roy Shirling and Mark Day.The Selma Times-Journal, Selma, Alabama, January 23, 1989
