Death

Pauline Furr Lansdell, 90, of Town Creek, died March 24, 2003. She was born Aug. 5, 1912. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003, at the chapel, with burial in Elwood Cemetery, Town Creek, Ala. Officiating at the funeral will be Brother Henry Trull and Brother Ralton McCarley. She was a native of Town Creek, Ala., and a member of Donald Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse from Colbert County Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Hall, San Bernandina, Calif., Marie Kidd and husband, Wheeler, Ardmore, Ala., Audrey Bryant, Town Creek, Shirley Grissett and husband, Bob, Florence, Mary Alice Davenport and husband, Billy, Burleson, Texas, Elaine Barnes and husband, Horice, Goldsboro, N.C.; sister, Mary Hester, Memphis, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Lansdell; son-in-law, W. Nathan Bryant; grandson, Scott Grissett; and great-grandson, Chris Hampton. Pallbearers will be Dempsey Copeland, Ray Campbell, Ray Terry, Jack Williams, Joe Jordan and Charles Hester Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. Colbert Memorial Chapel is directing.
