HILLSBOROUGH - Larry James Cross, 55, of Lawrence Road, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Cross Christian Church, with the Rev. Jeff Maness officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of Randolph County, a self-employed contractor and a member of Falls Lake Archery Association. Surviving are wife, Carolyn Furr Cross of the home; son, John Glayton Cross of Hillsborough; daughters, Terry Jean Brummell of Gibsonville, Patricia C. Graley of Salem, Va., Nancy Leigh Cross of Garden City, S.C.; stepdaughters, Cindy Jo Edwards of Clinton, Wanda Godfrey Howard of Maysville; sisters, Dallas Bell of Lee Summit, Mo., Alene Abbajay of Fort Myers, Fla., Janice Wall of Chapel Hill; brothers, Benny Cross of Mocksville, Jerry Cross of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Koy Cross of Asheboro; 15 grandchildren. The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Cross Christian Church Cemetery Fund, 4251 U.S. 64 East, Asheboro, N.C. 27203.
