Death

Aiden Malachi Furr, infant son of Brittany Ann Boone and Jarad Dwayne Furr of 42125 Loop Road, Norwood, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, in Stanly Regional Medical Center. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Mark Shaver will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Norwood. He was born Aug. 3 in Albemarle. He was preceded in death by a paternal great-grandfather, Max Furr and a maternal great-great-grandmother, Emma Smith. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Rodney and Tammy Hatley of Norwood and Matthew Boone of Louisiana; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Angie Burris and Kevin Furr, all of Albemarle; his maternal great-grandparents, Irene and Rick Barbee, Patricia Medlin, Mike and Sue Richardson; and his paternal great-grandparents, Ed and June Caudle, Carol Hatley and Kenneth and Jahala Burns. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. At other times they will meet at the home of Angie and Charles Burris, 20125 Hwy. 138, Albemarle.
