James was the only child born to James Frank and Annie Lucille (Lowder) Peck. He married Betty Elvene Furr in 1946 and they were the parents of four children Kathy Anne Pamela, James Eugene Jr. and Paul Allan.

ALBEMARLE -- James Eugene "Jimmy"Peck, 82, 511 E. Cannon Ave., died Wednesday (July 7, 2004), at Stanly Memorial Hospital. Survivors include daughter Pamela Peck of Rockwell. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, First Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. John Futterer. Burial, Fairview Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-8 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. At other times, the family will be at the home on East Cannon Avenue. Memorials:Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC, 28001.
