Death

Alice Marie Horn Glisson, age 82, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 surrounded by her family. Her greatest joy was to be with her family and friends. Mema loved making pecan pies and chocolate cake (none compared to hers.) She was a member of the Forest Hill Church of God. We know she is now without pain in a better place and will forever be in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents; James K. Horn and Mary Dovie Overstreet Horn, her husband of 57 and a half years; Monroe C. "M.C." Glisson. She is survived by her three daughters; Delorse "Kitty" Cody, Brenda (Jimmy) Palmer, Sr., and Cathy (Barry) Furr, Two grandsons; Jimmy M. (Megan) Palmer, Jr., and Dwayne C. (Wendy) Palmer, three great granddaughters; Rebecca, Addison, and Brianna, sister in law; Willa Dean Meaux, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 1 pm from Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm from Valhalla Memorial Funeral home. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
