Death

LYMAN, SC-- John Dewey Huckabee, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at the Richard Campbell Nursing Home after an extended illness with Alzheimer's. Mr. Huckabee was the widower of Bobbie Huckabee and the son of the late Oscar and Alice (Morris) Huckabee. A native of Spartanburg, Mr. Huckabee served in the Navy. He was a member of Tucapau Baptist Church as well as a member of the Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285 and the Shriners. For many years Mr. Huckabee worked for Tyger Construction Company Inc. as Heavy Equipment Supervisor. Leaving behind to cherish special memories are two daughters: Sha (Andy) Anderson and Teresa Furr; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; along with a special person, Elsie Belcher, a friend, a companion and a sweetheart. Mr. Huckabee was preceded in death by one sister. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be left at: www.livinfgwatersFH.com. Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory Lyman, SC.
