Death

Daniel "Dan" Joseph Preston, 76, of Rockwell, N.C., died on July 22, 2016, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. He was born on Dec. 23, 1939, in Celina to the late William Harry Preston and Verna Now. He is survived by his wife who was his high school sweetheart, Rosalie Smalley, who he married on July 1961. He is also survived by his two children Daniel Joseph Preston Jr. and Jennifer Preston Furr and a six year old grandson, all of Rockwell, N.C. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at North grove Cemetery in Celina with the Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made towards Dan's two month hospitalization and multiple surgery bills.
