Death

Mary Jane, age 49, born March 11, 1962, in Silver City, New Mexico went to meet her Lord on November 13, 2011 after a battle with cancer. She is preceded by her father, Russell Herrick leaving behind her mother Janie Furr, her sister Mildred Baker and two brothers Robert and Russell Jr. She also leaves behind her husband Charles A. Carroll and two sons, Dominque and Emmanuel and seven daughters, Cora, Noel, Amanda, Ashley, Cassandra, Nikki and Michele and one foster son Rick giving her 28 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren including a very large extended family.  Her education started in New Mexico and continued thru her high school years where she graduated from the Albuquerque Job Corp. She then moved to Tacoma Washington in 1980 and attended a trade school for the airlines but then applied for a position at Smith Western Co as an imprinter where she has been employed for over 25+ years. During this time she never complained about anything, she just kept giving and enjoying the time she had.  For Mary, family was very important and she shared that with her children through a variety of things such as supporting her sons’ sports, dance activities along with watching, wrestling, horror moves to silly TV programs. She was an avid football fan for both college and pro teams, usually the opposing team from the family favorite. She was a member of the Chapter V Gold Wing motorcycle club of Auburn Washington. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking with the grandchildren no matter the weather. One of her favorite places to spend time and have no worries was at the ocean, feeling the cool breezes blow.  She will be deeply missed but he know that Mary is now walking on the streets of gold with her Lord.  Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
