Death

HIGH POINT — Benjamin “Ben” Harris Stanley, 22, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his residence. Ben was born on February 12, 1992 in High Point to Ricky Stanley of High Point, and Patsy (Furr) Sadler of Walkertown. He was a 2010 graduate of Carver High School, Winston-Salem. Ben was a part time employee of Carter Brothers Barbeque and Honey Baked Ham. He was a member of Deep River Church of Christ. Ben was an avid sports fan who enjoyed being a part of his high school wrestling and football teams. He also enjoyed playing baseball with his friends in his spare time, and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. When he wasn’t enjoying sporting events, Ben would be found with his family and friends. He was a very easy going person who always had a smile, and would make anyone laugh. In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by a stepmother, Myrene Stanley; a stepfather, David Sadler; three sisters, Heather Paige Toler and her husband, William of High Point, Ashley Brooke Stanley of Toledo, Ohio, and Jessica Miller and her husband, Neal of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Christopher Sadler and Wheeler Sadler, both of Walkertown; two nephews, Ayden Miller and Kaleb Toler; a niece, Maddison Toler; grandparents, Joyce and Stacy Stanley, and Ann and Omer Furr; two great-grandmothers, Juanita Prather and Blondine Furr; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of life service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Deep River Church of Christ, 1214 Eastchester Drive, High Point with Evangelist John Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point.
